Brian Hastings Celebrates Live Tourney Victory

Hastings has joined the ever-growing group of US online pros that try their luck in live games since Black Friday. He achieved his first live victory at a WPT Regional Summer Splash Side Event.

Brian played side Event #12, a $2,200 buy-in tourney at the World Poker Tour Summer Splash and managed to defeat a field of 391 players. He won $213,877.

Hastings, having won more than $4 million online so far, jumped on the bandwagon and started playing live, as his former occupation has been declared illegal in the US...

It seems that Hastings, usually considered a high stakes cash game specialist, made a good choice when trying out live poker, seeing what he is capable of live. This success is his scond live cash, the first one being the 2011 May EPT Spain Heads-Up Event, where he finished second for $68,000.
