WSOP Event #18: Phil Hellmuth Wins 12th WSOP Bracelet

Only 18 players were left when the cards hit the air on Day 3 of WSOP Event #18 $2,500 Seven Card Razz. Brandon Cantu started as chipleader with 298,500, followed closely by Brendan Taylor (288,500) and Phil Hellmuth (287,500). Of course, the greatest attention was paid to the performance of the 11 times WSOP champion.

Jeff Misteff was out first and then Hellmuth sent WSOP 2010 $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 champion Michael Chow packing. Three times champion Barry Greenstein came next, right before WSOP 2010 $1,500 Limit Hold'em – Shootout winner Taylor. The heads-up was set with the elimination of Scott Fischman and Cantu himself.

Hellmuth: A-4 / A-2-J-4 / T
Zewin: 3-9 / 6-K-J-3 / 9

Zewin finished 3rd back in 1989, when Hellmuth scored his first bracelet – in the Main Event. He failed to win once again, while Hellmuth finally claimed his 12th WSOP title, which is also the first he has not won in a Hold’em event.
