WSOP Big One to Return in 2014
Next year, it is time for the Little One and in 2014, the Big One returns to the World Series.
WSOP Big One organiser Guy Laliberté has officially announced that the $1,000,000 event returns to the schedule in 2014. The Big One was introduced this year and was an outstanding success with the top number of participants, 48 players. Antonio Esfandiari took down the tournament for $18.3 million.
“By working with the showman - Guy Laliberté, we have learned there was only one choice. An encore. We look forward to collaborating with Guy and ONE DROP to continue to find fun and exciting ways to make a positive and lasting contribution through the vehicle that is the great game of poker,” Caesars Interactive Entertainment CEO Mitch Garber said.
$111,111 of each of the buy-ins of the Big One goes to charity, supporting the One Drop Foundation to get drink water to the regions of the world most in need. While this returns only in 2014, next year it is time for the “little brother”, the Little One, with a buy-in of $1,111 and unlimited re-entry on the first two days.
The Little One will be an official bracelet event and the organisers expect one of the largest fields for this tournament in the schedule of the WSOP 2013.
