Ragen70 Tops November with $2.4 Million in High Stakes Profits

Niklas ‘ragen70’ Heinecker crushed the online high stakes cash game field in November. The German has an annual total profit of $5.6 million, while Gus Hansen continued to run poorly for a total of $8.5 million in losses this year.

The first weeks of November brought about the dominance of Niklas ‘ragen70’ Heinecker: the German amassed a whopping $1,358,115 in winnings in the period. He then moved on to harvest dollars at an even crazier speed for a total of $2,436,939 in 13,921 hands. Heinecker exclusively played draw games and scored the biggest by far in the past month.

To put the German ace’s performance into context, money list runner-up of the month ‘SanIker’ earned $318,768 in 4,970 hands and third finisher Ola ‘no_Ola’ Amundsgard has $263,708 in 497 hands, both well short of $500,000, let alone Heinecker’s profits.

Somewhat unusually, PokerStars became overrepresented in the top 10 of the money list in November: players of the room in the register include ‘Crazy Elior’, ‘YurNas’, Daniel ‘w00ki3z.’ Cates, Timothy ‘Tim0thee’ Adams and ‘26071985’.

It goes almost without saying that Gus Hansen turned out to be the biggest loser of the month with $2,185,056 in losses in 20,866 hands. The Dane’s FTP Pro teammate Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom lost only slightly less, $2,132,506 in 30,445 hands.

The biggest pot of the month got in the middle in a game between ‘bbvisbadforme’ and ‘Denoking’ on a $300/$600 NLHE HU table. They split the $311,474 in a run it twice hand but they also played for the largest single-sum pot in November in a $200/$400 NLHE game.

In the hand, ‘bbvisbadforme’ opened to $800, ‘Denoking’ 3-bet to $3,400, ‘bbvisbadforme’ 4-bet to $9,350 and ‘Denoking’ called. He bet $9,600 on the T K 8 flop, ‘bbvisbadforme’ called and the turn came 6. ‘Denoking’ bet $24,800, ‘bbvisbadforme’ called and then shoved his remaining $109,775 on the 4 river and his opponent’s check. ‘Denoking’ called all-in with $80,525 for a pot of $248,551. ‘Bbvisbadforme’ tabled 9 9 and ‘Denoking’ mucked.

‘Ragen70’ is also leading the annual profit list and he is unlikely to be dethroned in the last month. His current profits are $5,661,239 in 60,025 hands, while his main rival Ben ‘Bttech86’ Tollerene has $3,007,995 to his name this year after 116,816 hands. Considering Heinecker’s relatively low variance, to diminish the $2.6 million edge seems unrealistic, even for Tollerene.
