Even though the French online gaming regulator ARJEL has not appointed a new head since the resignation of Jean-Francois Vilotte over the decision of the French National Assembly not to support the amendment of the law regulating the market in order to be able to open a common one, the regulatory body has been operating actively. News of this has even reached the French mainstream media, which reports that three unlicensed online poker rooms have been fined by the Paris Municipal Court after ARJEL had prosecuted them.

According to the local media, the largest sum was to be paid by Personal Exchange Limited, the company behind MyBet, among other sites. The other two companies charged are Everleaf Gaming and Gnuf Limited, operating a total of seven online poker rooms. Both ventures were fined much less, €15,000 each.

The €300,000 fine on Personal Exchange Limited is the largest ever given out by ARJEL; previously, Globet International Sports Betting had been fined a record sum of €200,000.
