With the elimination of David Olmsted, the Final Table seats were drawn as follows:

Seat 1: Pok Kim – 222,000
Seat 2: Vinny Pahuja – 339,000
Seat 3: Dutch Boyd – 1,185,000
Seat 4: Steven Norden – 743,000
Seat 5: Paul Cogliano – 823,000
Seat 6: Christopher Sensoli – 148,000
Seat 7: Chad Dixon – 180,000
Seat 8: Will Givens – 1,229,000
Seat 9: Gabriel Nassif – 199,000

Chad Dixon, Gabriel Nassif, Vinny Pahuja, Christopher Sensoli and Pok Kim got eliminated before Givens lost his remaining chips, his A-9 getting cracked by by Paul Cogliano’s A-4 with a flopped pair of fours.

Dutch Boyd - 2.065.000
Paul Cogliano - 2.025.000
Steven Norden - 980.000

Norden doubled up through Boyd and then Boyd through Cogliano: not unlike in Given’s last hand, Boyd improved to a pair from behind with A-7, Cogliano holding A-K. Soon, Cogliano shoved but his 7-6 did not hold out on the 8-9-3-Q-A board against Boyd’s A-9.

By the end of Level 28 (10,000/30,000/60,000), Boyd increased his lead and opened to 120,000 in the last hand. Norden 3-bet to 250,000, Boyd called and the flop came 3Spade 7Diamond 3Heart. They both checked, the turn came AClubs, Norden bet to 300,000 and Boyd called. Norden shoved on the 6Heart river, Boyd had his stack counted, tanked a bit and then called, showing AHeart 4Spade. Norden tabled KClubs 5Clubs for a bluff.

After winning the $2,500 Short Handed No Limit Hold'em event in 2006 for $475,712 and the $2,500 Limit Hold'em - Six Handed in 2010 for $234,065, Boyd scooped in his 3rd WSOP bracelet.

End results:

1st: Dutch Boyd – $288,744
2nd: Steven Norden – $178,490
3rd: Paul Cogliano – $117,464
4th: Will Givens – $84,680
5th: Pok Kim – $61,983
6th: Christopher Sensoli – $46,031
7th: Vinny Pahuja – $34,668
8th: Gabriel Nassif – $26,464
9th: Chad Dixon – $20,463

Only 6 players returned on Day 3 to finish the finale of WSOP Event #34 $1,500 Seven Card Stud; although those six included WSOP 2007 Main Event 4th finisher Alex Kravchenko and WSOP 2009 Main Event 4th finisher Eric Buchman, both also holders of World Series titles.

Seat 1: William Thompson – 415,000
Seat 3: Nabih Helmi – 36,000
Seat 4: Alex Kravchenko – 104,000
Seat 7: Bryn Kenney – 165,000
Seat 8: Aleksandr Denisov – 668,000
Seat 9: Eric Buchman – 164,000

Shortstack Nabih Helmi was out in the very first hand of the day, eliminated by Kravchenko’s aces, and then the Russian moved on to rail PCA Super High Roller 3rd finisher Bryn Kenney.

Buchman then managed to grab the lead through smaller pots before William Thompson finished in 4th, his backdoor flush draw and pair of threes not improving to best Denisov’s A-A/7-2-2 hand. After losing a couple of pots himself, Denisov found himself shortstack just before the break:

Eric Buchman – 807,000
Alex Kravchenko – 617,000
Aleksandr Denisov – 134,000

Accordingly, Denisov was out first of the two remaining Russians, losing to Buchman’s trip jacks. The latter kept increasing his lead and they eventually got all-in on the 4th street of the final hand:

Kravchenko: 8Spade 7Clubs / 6Heart 7Spade
Buchman: JSpade TClubs / TDiamond 6Spade

On the 5th, Buchman got the THeart for a three of a kind but Kravchenko got the 5Spade for a straight and backdoor flush draw. However, as the 6Clubs fell for Buchman, he got the full house and Kravchenko was drawing dead.
