Andrei Konopelko leads EPT Main Event going into Day 4

The EPT Barcelona Main Event is starting to heat up, with players reaching the money yesterday, and only 102 players remaining. The chipleader is Andrei Konopelko with 1.4 million chips, but big names like Davidi Kitai and Jan Heitmann are also in the top 10.

Day 3 started with 292 players, but only 239 places were paid, so the action was exciting from the get-go. Day 1A chipleader Michael Mizrachi busted on the first hand of the day, he got it in with AA against 99, but a 9 on the flop sealed his fate.

The bubble action was remarkable, there were 6 all-in situations on different tables at the same time, and 5 people busted, which created a unique situation, since the bubble was set to receive a guitar and a $5,300 seat into the Seminole Hard Rock Open $10 million guaranteed event in Florida.

In the end the five players played a sit and go for the guitar and the ticket, with Francois-Charles Scapula emerging as the winner.

After the bubble burst, many big names busted, including Ole Schemion, Martin Jacobson, Kent Lundmark and Maxim Lykov busted, so did Dan Shak and Kitty Kuo.

On the other end of the spectrum were Davidi Kitai and Martin Finger, and former EPT champs Vicky Coren Mitchell and Mike McDonald are still in the field.

Today marks the start to the €10,300 High Roller event also.
