Fedor ''CrownUpGuy'' Holz keeps crushing after WCOOP Main Event win
Fedor ''CrownUpGuy'' Holz won the Main Event of the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker, for which he received $1.3 million, and he has been on a roll ever since, he has won two major Sunday tournaments and has successfully taken shots in the high stakes games at PokerStars aswell. He recently gave an interview to PocketFives about his results, you can read the excerpt from the interview below.
One week after his huge score, Holz won the Sunday Major at Full Tilt for $38,000 and soon followed it up with a win in one of the toughest tournaments online, the Sunday 500, for $65,000. Holz has won the tournament for the second time this year.
Holz claimed his success is a mixture of a good, motivated attitude, studying from away the table, and abusing his opponents tendencies and leaks. The Austrian player said he uses a HUD while playing, but he also focuses a lot on game flow and intuition. He studies the game with CREV and HRC programs, and he talks a lot with other high stakes players, and also coaches, which is beneficial because he has to explain his thought processes clearly.
Holz's future goals are to become a regular at the highest stakes tournaments, he wants to participate in as many Super High Roller tournaments as possible.
Holz has hade some success on the live tournament circuit, having cashed five times at EPT Barcelona and collected $300,000 throughout his live career. He's eager to go even higher, he is going to travel to the PCA and the Aussie Millions in hope of a big major title win.
After this, CrownUpGuy talks about his online results. He says he is more happy with his consistent results in the tough fields than the big wins in particular, he believes it is pure variance, because his game hasn't really changed much in the last period.
Holz has also dipped his toes into the high stakes cash games, he played a few sessions at the $25/$50 tables, but this time was enough for him to win $150,000. He lost a little back and then quit the games, went on the 2+2 forums and said that the regulars are extremely good and certainly better than him, but he definitely wants to play more of these high stakes games to improve his game.
