Largest Chip Stack in the World

In June, Phil Laak set the world record for longest continuous poker playing, which I have been writing about. It seems it's a year for records, Paddy Power Poker have broken the the Guinness World Record for the world's largest chip stack.

Paddy Power said, "We had our fair share of wobbles along the way and one complete collapse but we held our nerve and it was definitely worth it for the honour of a Guinness World Record. The giant stack is yet another reason to get down to the Burlington Hotel in Dublin for the Irish Winter Festival this weekend."

That's right, the record also serves as an appetizer for players to visit the 2010 Irish Winter Festival, where the chip tower will be shown. In the original press release they state, it took the team 72 hours to build the almost 10 feet tall tower consisting of about 75,000 chips.
