High Stakes Poker New Season Announced

The recording dates for the 7th season of High Stakes Poker, GSN's hit TV show have been made available. The Season will be filmed from 18-20 November. The lineup has also been introduced: the host will be Gabe Kaplan again, and the tableside interviewer is Kara Scott, who has been replacing A.J. Benza again.

The last season featured pro players such as Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Andreas Hoivold, Dario Minieri, Dennis Phillips, Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, Eli Elezra, Andrew Robl, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak. The names of this season's players are not yet known, however I feel very strongly that GSN will exploit the relationship of Phil Hellmuth and Tony G, known from PokerStars' The Big Game, so I'm guessing they will be playing through the 7th Season.

There is no exact information on the airing dates yet, however, if they stick to last year's tendency, we'll see the new episodes in February 2011.
