Isildur1 Wins and Loses Big as a Fresh PokerStars Pro

The crazy genious, Isildur1 (aka grolongo, aka Viktor Blom?) started out his PokerStars carreer being totally himself. He won $287,500 in a 14-hour  session yesterday, but today he almost lost all of it to Phil Galfond.

Isildur1 played against 75 players including Scott 'urnotindangr' Palmer, Ashton 'theASHMAN103' Griffin and Brian '$tinger88' Hastings during his SuperStar Showdown.

Some details from the PokerStars blog:

"The young cash game phenom played across up to six tables of high-stakes Pot Limit Omaha (mostly at $25/$50) against a total of 75 opponents as his session, which started at 2.30pm (ET) yesterday lasted until after 5am this morning. In that time he got through 6163 hands - and well and truly crushed it.

The virtual rail was packed as poker fans flocked to watch Isildur1 play the first big session he had put in publicly for many months. During his stint Isildur1 pocketed a gross amount of--get this--$2.1million. After taking away losing pots he was still left with a very tasty net profit of $287,500.10. Don't forget the 10 cents."

Of course the mysterious player lived up to his name, as he lost almost all the money he won so far to Phil 'MrSweets28' Galfond in PLO Omaha heads-up today. He must have played against others though, as Highstakesdb.com suggests: he lost a total of more than $360,000 in the last 24 hours.

If you are interested in him playing, watch PokerStars' high stakes tables, now that the guy is a a Team PokerStars Pro, he'll be seen much more there.
