Randy Lew Documentary - I am Nanonoko

In this very interesting documentary with Randy 'nanonoko' Lew, one of the best online players today, he talks about  about how he started playing poker, how his video gaming helped him one of the top pros, and about his work ethic. It's quite an interesting piece, highly recommended.

High Stakes Poker Season 7 Episode 2

Episode 2 of HSP7 has just aired and it is already available online, too. I saw in the comments that people complain about the new host Norm MacDonald; I agree he is somewhat monotonous. Still, action is pretty wild: in addition to a $108,000 and a $219,000 pot, the 43 minutes show also features an insane clash for more than $590,000. But I’m not going to spoil it for you, check it out instead.

High Stakes Poker Season 7 Episode 1 Now Online

GSN decided to finally release the first episode of the 7th installment of their high stakes cash game show, High Stakes Poker. Contrary to the expectations, the first episode of the show wasn't bad at all. I mean I expected worse after all those really bad news that surfaced concerning the show. Think about Gabe Kaplan's "resignation', the Full Tilt pros' absence due to the new PokerStars sponsorship of the show and so on. Of course, without Kaplan and the Full Tilt pros it's less fun than the previous seasons, but it's still enjoyable, and the players and the editors managed to pack plenty of action into the 40 minutes of the first episode. Doyle Brunson, Vanessa Selbst, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiari and David Peat represent the poker pros, but there are also 3 recreational players at the table, Robert Croak, Phil Ruffin and Bill Klein. I'm interested in what you think about the video, please tell me below.

Highlight Show of Liv Boeree Winning Sunday Warm-Up

You probably have heard about British beauty Liv Boeree winning last week’s PokerStars Sunday Warm-up, the room’s $750,000 guaranteed tournament. At the 9-handed final table, in a field that started with 4,710 contestants, she eventually defeated James ’mig.com’ Mackey heads-up, winning $147,780. PokerStars.tv made a highlight show of the match which you can watch below.

GSN Releases First High Stakes Poker Ad

The TV company GSN released their first commercial of the 7th season of its popular cash game show, High Stakes Poker. The ad is just a little teaser for those who are interested in the less interesting show due to the poor-ish field of players featuring Phil Laak, Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, 2010 WSOP Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel and Johnny Chan, but as I already wrote, no FTP pros will be attending, since the sponsor of the show is now PokerStars, so Full Tilt Poker  didn't allow Phil Ivey, Tom 'durrrr' Dwan and Patrik Antonius to play in the show. Shame. We'll see how the season turns out on February 26.

Video Interview with ‘Urindanger’ and Brother ‘trex313’

PokerStatic has just published a video interview with Di and Hac Dang, also known as Urindanger and trex313, respectively. While Di plays PLO with Gus Hansen, they evaluate their poker year of 2010.

PokerStatic Interview with Martin 'DrGiggy' Giguere

In this interview done by PokerStatic's regular interviewers Eric Bickel and Bret Oliverio,  we can get know the Canadian NLHE cash game pro, Martin 'DrgGiggy' Giguere better. The 23-year-old ultra-aggressive mid-stakes player talks about his friend Jonathan Duhamel and his victory at WSOP, his 5% of the winnings, but also about his poker style, personality, and much much more. Highly recommended.

Harrington's and Seidel's Hall of Fame Speech

Dan Harrington was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame alongside Erik Seidel in November. If you missed out their speeches because you didn't have the time, the opportunity or the need, I strongly suggest you watch them, for me it's really interesting to see such great men giving their acceptance speeches. Dan Harrington and Erik Seidel both did a lot for poker, and it's good to see they managed to stay this humble and honest. Check them out!

Want to Beat Up Domenech? Now You Can in Poker

French people hate Raymond Domenech, France's former national soccer team coach with passion. After the man made many bad decisions and had his team eliminated in the group stages of the South African World Cup, he got fired and is a target for many people. Well, now he's teamed up with Bwin, offering the haters the chance to beat him up at poker.

Truly brilliant move from Bwin this is, being advertised at Bwin.fr, they will surely have many challangers who want to beat Domenech badly. Here's the promotion's "trailer", what I find a bit cheesy and makes me uncomfortable in a way, but hey, we're talking about French...
