In the second part of our retrospective take on the year 2013, we recall the highlights of the poker world from March and April.

Year 2013

March

On 10 March, the heads-up clash between the Full Tilt Poker Professionals and Team PokerStars Pro took place. The PokerStars pros won the event 3 to 0 with an individual heads-up games total result of 8 to 1.

Chris Moorman won his first ever FTOPS title, winning the #3 $216 PLO Rush event and dedicating his victory to Phil Galfond. The British ace also hit the $9 million mark in lifetime online MTT winnings as the first player ever, in addition to his 13th Triple Crown (with still many more to follow).

After January, Viktor ’Isildur1’ Blom once again topped the monthly online high stakes profit list with $2.3 million in winnings. In the middle of the month, he played one of his most profitable sessions in his career with $1.3 million in profits in a single weekend.

April

Team PokerStars was joined by yet another sports star, two times soccer world champion and two times Ballon d’Or winner Brazilian Ronaldo, nicknamed as the ‘Phenomenon.’

The WSOP APAC was organised the first time and the Main Event was won by Daniel Negreanu; the Canadian bested Daniel Marton heads-up for his 5th career bracelet. The APAC also meant a 9th championship title for Phil Ivey, who took down Event #3 - AU$2,200 Mixed.
