Chris Moorman Scoops In 18th Triple Crown
Chris Moorman is unstoppable and delivers Triple Crown titles one after the other. With already six in this year alone, he has now reached his own record from 2009 and is at three titles in October only. Who knows what is next?
After taking down the 16th title in early October, Chris Moorman delivered another two this month. By the 13th, he further extended his own already impressive record: winning the Winamax $122 XTASE for $6,158 on the 8th, the PokerStars $82 NLHE 6-Max Hyper-Turbo event for $4,643 on the 9th and the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl for $48,760, he scooped in his 17th Triple Crown.
Instead of slowing down, let alone taking a break, however, he went on to hit the third badge this month and the sixth this year – the eighteenth in total. On the 13th, he won the Bwin $100 NLHE $60,000 GTD event for $13,950, the Full Tilt Poker T-Rex for $28,497 and a PokerStars $55 NLHE tournament for $2,837 on the 19th. The online MTT money list runner-up has now reached his own record from 2009 and there is no telling what is going to happen next.
Also, he is likely to take over the money list lead, as he had already planned; current leader Calvin ‘cal42688’ Anderson, while fighting hard to retake and maintain his position throughout the year, has not been able to keep up with the crazy British recently.
How the Triple Crown is earned:
- A player must win three multi-table tournaments, each of which start within the same seven day period across three of any of the sites we track for P5er cashes.
- Each tournament must have a prize pool of at least $10K.
- Each tournament must have at least 100 players.
- Satellite tournaments do not count.
- Wins must be verified by the PocketFives.com staff from data collected from the sites themselves.
Moorman is still followed on the leaderboard by Hungarian online MTT regular ‘Belabacsi’ with 11 titles.
