EPT London Main Event 2013 - Kozlov in the Lead, 45 Remain

The field of the European Poker Tour (EPT) London Main Event reached the in the money finishes on Day 3 of the tournament. In the lead is ANZPT II Melbourne champion Martin Kozlov.

On Day 3 of the EPT London £5,250 Main Event, 106 players returned to the tables with Tudor Purice in the lead behind 628,200 in chips. Several major names of the industry accompanied him, including November Nine member Mark Newhouse and online MTT regular Robin Ylitalo, to highlight just the top ten of the participants.

Players reached the 87 paying finishes in the course of the day; Steven Lewzey became the bubble boy, when he moved all-in on the 9Heart 9Clubs 6Clubs flop with AClubs TClubs against two opponents. The flush failed to come and Kuljinder Sidhu took the pot with pocket aces.

Gaelle Baumann followed in 87th position, Fabian Quoss in 85th, Theo Jorgensen in 81st, Henrique Pinho in 79th, Steven Silverman in 76th, Kenny Hallaert in 75th, Mike Watson in 67th, Chris Brammer in 63rd, Dan Smith in 61st, David Vamplew in 57th, Max Altergott in 56th, Jan Bendik in 55th and Mark Newhouse in 54th.

Newhouse was eliminated on Level 18 (1,000/3,000/6,000), when he shoved his remaining 271,000 in chips from the Button with A-9 after a raising war. His opponent, Ludovic Geilich was happy to call with pocket aces and his hand held out.

Eventually, 45 players qualified to Day 4 with ANZPT II Melbourne champion Martin Kozlov in the lead (1,351,000). It will be played down to only two tables today.
