Flipout and Multi-Day Tournaments in MTOPS Schedule

Full Tilt Poker’s Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS) kicks off on 25 May with Days 1A-1N already underway for the Event #1 $3.30 NLH Turbo Multi-Day Tournament. All 75 events of the series are turbo and multi-entry tournaments.

Full Tilt Poker launches the MTOPS with $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money with at least $400,000 up for grabs in the multi-day $15 Main Event. Two additional tournaments have multiple Day 1s: $3.30 Event #1 and $5.50 Event #37 and the former offers no less than 15 of them, already underway, while the latter and the Main Event both feature nine.

Two tournaments with the brand new Flipout format are also scheduled, where all players go all-in in the first round and the survivors play a conventional freezout for the first prize, all of them already in the money. Other exotic events include Irish, 5-Card and 6-Card Omaha, as well as the 25-Game Turbo with a buy-in of 100 FTP Player Points.

On the downside, the guaranteed prize pool for the Main Event has been decreased: in the first MTOPS in June 2013, the tournament boasted $1,000,000 in prize money, which shrank to $500,000 in November 2013 and February 2014. This time, it is further cut to $400,000. The multi-entry and multi-day format also makes it a bit more difficult to win big.

As a compensation, a MTOPS Multi-Entry Challenge is offered: players earn points for cashing in events which they have entered multiple times, according to the following system:

• Cash twice in a single event to earn one chip
• Cash three times in a single event to earn three chips
• Cash four times in a single event to earn six chips
• Cash five times in a single event to earn ten chips
• Cash six times or more in a single event to earn twenty chips

The winner of the leaderboard receives $1,500 worth of tournament tickets, including entry to the FTOPS Main Event and all MiniFTOPS events. Top finishes reward ticket packages worth $1,000.

Additionally, if players make it far enough with multiple stacks in the same event, their stacks get merged. During the series, a promotion is run for merging stacks: for two stacks, the reward is a $75 MiniFTOPS Main Event ticket. For each additional stack, $500 cash bonus is awarded.
