Italian 'Serie B' Changed to 'Serie Bwin'
Online betting company Bwin is to sponsor Italian football league Serie B, from now on running under the name of Serie Bwin.
The contract, which is in effect until June 2012, broadens the company’s already wide spectrum of sports sponsorship. In addition to holding airing rights of Italian, German and Spanish first and second league matches, they also support the Spanish team Real Madrid.

Former partners with Bwin sponsorhsip included football teams AC Milan and Bayern Munich, and even renaming a complete league after such a contract is not without example: Bwin supported the Portugese top football league between 2005 and 2008.
Moreover, Bwin has interests in the MotoGP World Championship and the International Basketball Association as well, according to Wikipedia. For the poker community, however, the company remains to be known chiefly for its online betting activity and for organising several tournaments and championships, including qualifing matches to the WSOP.
