PokerSnowie Keeps Crushing Its Opponents

The Snowie bot’s average win rate is 22.18 bb/100 after a total of about 1.5 million hands played.

Starting with a backgammon coaching program, Snowie Games launched its assault on poker last July and they introduced the PokerSnowie brand with the Poker Coach software, a No Limit Hold’em cash game Game Theory Optimal education application for subscribing FR, SH and HU players.

In December, the company added the Challenge feature, an option for users to play against the PokerSnowie bot. Players can clash with the bot on up to two tables of FR, SH or HU games. Hands against the bot are automatically uploaded to the database, where participants can instantly analyse their play.

After just a week and 200,000 hands, the Snowie bot was already winning on a 23 bb/100 rate. Of course, the average result is unrealistic with some insignificant samples distorting it, so the company released stats where games of under 100 hands as well as opponents with over 25% mistake rate are disregarded. The bot still maintained a 16.98 bb/100 win rate in 152,558 hands.

The Challenge results now have a significantly larger sample to be calculated from, so it is worth checking back on them. After 1,459,325 hands, the bot shows of a convincing 22.18 bb/100 win rate. As far as the stats without games of under 100 hands and opponents with over 25% mistake rate are concerned, the figures are as follows:

• 1,232,481 hands
• opponents’ average mistake rate is 14.14%, which qualifies for the Advanced category
• PokerSnowie delivers a 15.53 bb/100 win rate
