Per Ummer
was the first to say goodbye, followed by Tom Marchese, the Portuguese Fernando Brito, Kayvan Payman and the Polish giant, Artur Wasek. With only 3 players at the table, it was really tough to guess who will win this year, all players had large stacks, and they seemed equal concerning performance. Kyle Bowker missed his chance of playing the final heads-up with an unlucky hand against Juanda. His pocket J's were no good against Juanda's pocket T's, because with an unlucky twist Juanda hit a flush with his ten of clubs. Really bad luck.

The final heads-up hence took place between Vamplew and Juanda who battled with one another for a little more than 4 hours. Vamplew managed to double up two times with lower cards during the game, and quickly rocketed his short stack to the chiplead. The final hand came when Vamplew being the chip leader, Juanda went all in with 3,400,000 with his DiamondK Diamond2, and Vamplew called. Vamplew had ClubsA Heart3, and the board came Spade3, DiamondA, SpadeQ, Spade9, Spade6. With 2 pairs, the young Scot has won all, the handsome main prize, and his first tournament victory as well.

Here are the final results in case you are curious:

1. David Vamplew - £900.000
2. John Juanda - £545.000
3. Kyle Bowker - £300.000
