What did you do and study before you started playing poker?

I worked at a youth jail and in some group homes for troubled youth. I actually loved the job and would definitely still be doing it if not for poker.

Full Tilt Poker to Relaunch in April?

Groupe Bernard Tapie attorney Behnam Dayanim said in late February that, even though the original deadline for completing the negotiations had been postponed, purchasing Full Tilt Poker was imminent for the Groupe.

Full Tilt Poker Replugged?

“There was an expectation among the parties involved that we would conclude our discussions one way or the other by the end of February. Positive progress has been made in recent talks, and each of the parties feels reasonably confident that we'll be able to reach a successful conclusion. As such, everyone has agreed to let the process continue for a bit longer,” Dayanim reported.

Daniel Negreanu has recently launched a video blog, probably to appear on a regular basis, titled VBlog with some 'Real Talk'. Apart from tabloid-like issues like Jason Somerville's 'coming out', KidPoker also talks about the World Series and Full Tilt Poker.

As you all may well know, Daniel has a pretty harsh opinion on the Full Tilt Poker situation and how it has been handled. He goes as far as calling Ray Bitar, Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer 'absolute scumbags' (and baseball bats get mentioned once more).

Shuffle Master Nearing Ongame Acquisition

Shuffle Master, a casino game developer operating in Las Vegas is reportedly in "advanced talks" in acquiring the Ongame Network, according to pokerfuse. As pokerfuse reports, Shuffle Master is in advanced talks in purchasing the Ongame Network, an online poker network that is currently the home of poker rooms like Betfair, Betsson, bwin. The news was confirmed by the Sunday times, they reported that Shuffle Master is currently in talks with bwin.party. The price of the Ongame Network is surprisingly low, only €16 million according to some predictions.

Shuffle Master

According to Roth Capital Markets' analyst Todd Eilers, it's very beneficial for Shuffle Master to purchase Ongame, because they have been concentrating on American market ever since the Wire Act prohibiting online poker in the US was proven not to affect poker, only sports betting. By this, online poker became legal in states which legalize poker. Shuffle Master is one of the 12 applicants who already applied for an operating license in the state of Nevada. The state, however has not yet announced exactly when they will assign the licenses, nor when it the poker rooms can finally start their business.
