Shortly after announcing the schedule to celebrate the 800 millionth multi-table tournament in the history of the room, PokerStars presents the first ever visit of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) to its very own home, the Isle of Man. The six days long poker festival kicks off on 30 October at Villa Marina and Gardens and it features a £1,100 NLHE Main Event with a £500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Among the events, streamed online by PokerStars TV, are tournaments of a wide variety of buy-ins, including some from as low as £110.

In addition, a £2,200 High Roller event launches on 2 November, next to a charity event to benefit the local organisations. Also, players and locals will be given the opportunity to participate in guided tours of PokerStars’ headquarters, a unique opportunity indeed.

“PokerStars is very proud to bring a large-scale poker festival to our corporate hometown to allow poker players to learn about PokerStars and our home,” UKIPT President Kirsty Thompson said. "We are looking forward to welcoming high-profile, poker professionals to the Isle of Man. For many of them, this is their first time visiting the Isle of Man, and they will be joining hundreds of players on a journey to PokerStars' home town. They too will be able to go 'behind-the-scenes' and learn more about PokerStars' operations,” the President added.

Indeed, quite a number of renowned pros will attend the event, including Team PokerStars Pros like Liv Boeree, Jake Cody, Andre Coimbra, Vicky Coren, Barry Greenstein, Isaac Haxton, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso and David Williams.

"I'm excited to visit the Isle of Man and play in a friendly event at the UKIPT," Williams commented.

What is more, PokerStars employees will be allowed entrance to the tournaments with the same conditions as everyone else, so that pros and players alike will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play and chat with those behind their favourite online poker site.

“Being able to play, chat and compete with PokerStars employees at the tables will be an extra benefit as they visit the home of PokerStars,” said Thompson.

Qualifiers for UKIPT Isle of Man seats are currently running online. There are freerolls and £0.50 satellites available to make your way to the weekly final, which awards three packages for the festival’s Main Event. Also, there are £215 qualifiers for 10 packages, to which you can also fight your way through feeders starting from £1.10.
