PokerStars recently introduced a new tournament format, in which people can win up to $30,000 in just a couple of minutes. Even though many players think it will ruin the poker ecosystem, Spin&Go tournaments have been extremely popular since their introductions. According to tracking site estimates, cash game traffic has decreased by 9%-13% on PokerStars as a result of Spin&Gos. PokerStars published an infographics about the results of the first 10 days, which you can check out below.

EPT London - Sebastian Pauli leads final 16

36 players started Day 4 of the EPT London Main Event, and there were still plenty of big names in the field. By the end of the day there were only 16 players left standing, led by German player Sebastian Pauli. Today, players are playing down to the final 8 players, you can watch the live stream from Day 5 in the article, with players like Jake Cody, Kevin MacPhee and Benny Spindler all battling for the £499,700 GBP first prize.

WSOP APAC - Jack Salter leads Main Event final table

Day 4 of the WSOP APAC Main Event started with 18 players with Victor Teng in the chiplead with 1.8 million chips, but there were plenty of great players still left in the field. By the end of the day, the 6-handed final table was set, and the chipleader is EPT Grand Final runner-up Jack Salter with 3.2 million chips, while Teng finished as the final table bubble.

The WSOP Asia-Pacific is slowly winding down, there are only two more tournaments left in the schedule. Some of the biggest names in the game, for example Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Brian Rast, Jeff Gross and Antonio Esfandiari were all in Australia, hunting for WSOP bracelets. Since all of them busted the Main Event, the crew, who have a total of $83 million in live tournament winnings, decided to have dinner before entering the final event where they could get a bracelet, the A$25,000 High Roller.

EPT London - 36 left, Jakub Mroczek in the lead

135 players began Day 3 of the EPT London Main Event, with Italian player Raffaele Sorrentino in the lead. By the end of the day, Polish player Jakub Mroczek managed to build the biggest stack, leading the final 36 players with 1,790,000 chips. There are plenty of big names still left in the field, and several players have the chance to win their second EPT title aswell. You can watch the live stream from Day 4 in the article.

Jackpot.co.uk has recently conducted a research where they looked at the average health level of gamblers, differentiated by the games they play. The study showed plenty of interesting results, poker players in general have an optimal BMI (Body Mass Index) while slots players are often obese. Poker players also exercise more and smoke less, but generally drink more than other gamblers. Click on the picture to check out this awesome infographics.

EPT London Main Event - Raffaele Sorrentino in the lead after Day 2

370 players began Day 2 of the EPT London Main Event, with Russian pro Anatoly "nl_profit" Filatov in the leading the field. By the end of the day there were only 135 players left, and the new chipleader was Italian player Raffaele Sorrentino with 491,400 chips. There are plenty of big names left in the field including Johnny Lodden, Jake Cody, Liv Boeree, Sam Trickett, Chris Moorman and Eugene Katchalov, just to name a few. WSOP APAC - Tobias Reinkemeier leads the Main Event

Day 1A of the WSOP APAC Main Event started on Sunday, while Day 1B played out yesterday. A total of 187 players have advanced to Day 2, the chipleader is German pro Tobias Reinkemeier with 171,925 chips. Day 2 begins today at 12:30 PM local time, and there are still plenty of great players in the hunt for the A$850,000 first prize.

EPT London - Anatoly "nl_profit" Filatov leads Main Event

The London stop of the European Poker Tour started this week, sofar 667 players have registered for the Main Event, but registration is open until the start of Day 2, so this number could increase. The chipleader after the two starting flights is young Russian pro Anatoly "nl_profit" Filatov with 173,900 chips. You can watch the live stream from Day 2 in the article.

 

iPOPS VII - €1,000,000 guaranteed

The online tournament series of the iPoker network will be organized with two buy-in levels this year. The Micro events is scheduled between October 20 - 26, while the High events will run between November 2 - 9. The tournament series has a guaranteed prizepool of €1,000,000.

WSOP APAC 2014 - Danzer wins third bracelet, Phil Hellmuth falls short of 14th title, Main Event underway

As we have previously reported, Phil Hellmuth was in contention for his 14th WSOP bracelet in the  A$2,200 Six-Max No-Limit Holdem event at the APAC, and George Danzer was looking to win his third bracelet in the A$5,000 8-Game Mix event. Hellmuth eventually finished in fourth place, while Danzer won, extending his lead in the WSOP Player of the Year race. The Main Event has also started, Tobias Reinkemeier ended up as the chipleader of Day 1a.

Petition started to remove PokerStars' new game format, Spin & Go

SuperNova Elite player Tomas ''Masuronike'' Kubaliak decided to start a petition against the recently introduced Spin & Go tournaments on PokerStars. Plenty of players have already signed the petition, most of them Supernova and Supernova Elite players.

 

WSOP APAC - Phil Hellmuth headlines the A$2,200 No Limit 6-max tournament, looking for 14th bracelet

As we have reported yesterday, Phil Hellmuth busted the first five events of the WSOP APAC and struggled with breathing problems aswell, but yesterday he pulled himself together and reached the final table of the A$2,200 No Limit Hold'em 6-max tournament. Meanwhile, in the crazy Player of the Year race, George Danzer reached the final table of the 8-Game Dealer's Choice event and has the chance to overtake Brandon Shack-Harris once again.
