WSOP surveys players regarding the Main Event payouts

As we have previously reported, the World Series of Poker announced that the 2015 Main Event will once again have a $10 million guaranteed first prize. Many players, including Daniel Negreanu have stated that they believe the Main Event would benefit more from a flatter payout structure because more players would cash and more people having a winning experience would be beneficial in the long run. Now the WSOP has released a 10 question survey asking players' opinions regarding the matter, you can take the survey by clicking on the picture below!

PCA Super High Roller - Sorel Mizzi leads final table

Play continued at the $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller at the PCA yesterday, there were 39 players left from Day 1 and five players registered before the start of Day 2. By the end of the day there were seven players left, with Sorel Mizzi in the chiplead, but Steve O'Dwyer, Christoph Vogelsang and Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood are still in aswell.

PCA 2015 Super High Roller - Sam Greenwood finishes Day 1 as chipleader

The PCA started off in a big way yesterday, with the $100,000 Super High Roller, there were 48 entries and 13 re-entries, which made this the biggest Super High Roller ever. By the end of the day there were 39 players left, but registration is still open until the start of Day 2, and it will start with the lead of Sam Greenwood, who managed to build a 1.07 million chipstack, he is followed by Mike ''Timex'' McDonald and Andrew Robl, you can check out the live stream from Day 2 in the article.

PokerStars reverses rake changes

Eric Hollreiser, the Head of Corporate Communications for PokerStars and Amaya Inc. has announced the "rollback" of the recently introduced rake changes. According to their analysis, the rake changes did not achieve the desired effect. 

PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2015 - The festival starts today!

The poker elite gathers every January at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to kick off the year with a huge poker festival. The best live tournament players in 2014

CardPlayer, Bluff Magazine and the Global Poker Index (GPI) have all published the results of their yearly tournament leaderboards. Daniel Colman won all three of the leaderboards, his biggest competitors were Ami "UhhMe" Barer, Ole "wizowizo" Schemion and Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah.

TCOOP 2015 schedule released - $15 million guaranteed!

PokerStars has released the schedule for the 2015 Turbo Championship of Online Poker, which will run between January 22 - February 1 with 50 events and a guaranteed prizepool of $15.000.000.

Daniel Negreanu - Increase number of players paid out instead of $10 million first prize

The Canadian PokerStars Pro has stated that he believes that more recreational players would attend the Main Event if they increased the number of players cashing from 10% to 15%.

Dan Colman biggest winner of the year with $22.3 million in winnings

Dan ''mrgr33n13'' Colman's 2014 is considered by many to be the greatest run in the history of poker. He won $22.3 million this year and is way ahead of WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson ($10,7 million) and Daniel Negreanu ($10,2 million) on the yearly tournament money list.

Gus Hansen goes on $600,000 upswing at the FLO8 tables

Gus Hansen won $636,000 yesterday after losing $272,000 earlier in the week. The Danish pro battled Alex ''Alexonmoon'' Luneau at the FLO8 tables and won $528,000 from the French pro. 

Kara Scott and Partypoker part ways

Popular poker commentator/player and recent Shark Cage finalist Kara Scott has recently announced that she will be leaving Partypoker in 2015, she has cited the lack of TV projects as the reason.

The World Series of Poker has recently announced part of their schedule for the 2015 WSOP, which will run for 49 days from May 27 to July 14. The biggest attractions are the $10 million guaranteed for first Main Event and a tournament called ''The Colossus'' which will have a $565 buy-in and a staggering guarantee of $5 million.
